Lion's Club Little Dribblers Sportsmanship Tournament 3/11-13

Meet Simba the Lion Saturday March 13! This is a great family event to watch or participate! For team information contact Janet Smith at the Grandview Bank. The tournament will be held at the GVISD Elementary School and High School gymnasiums.

Grandview Community Walk

The Grandview Community Walk on a beautiful spring day is the perfect way to demonstrate support for our community volunteers, our public library and the general health of our friends and families. Each participate will be required to pick up a Pledge Sheet from any of the following business locations, the Grandview Public Library, City Hall, Grandview Tribune and Grandview Bank. Each walker who obtains $25 in pledges will receive a Grandview Community Walk T-shirt. Businesses wishing to sponsor employees or clubs sponsoring members must have a pledge sheet for each participate. Pledge sheets along with pledge funds must be returned to the Grandview Tribune or the Grandview Bank by 4:00pm April 16^th. The event is scheduled for

Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 9:45am. Walkers will meet at the City Park at 8:45am to pick up T-shirts, meet trainers from Adventist Health System who will provide information and warm up tips for walking.

Funds raised through this event will benefit the Grandview Public Library and the Back to School Fair.

Show you community spirit, come join in the fun and enjoy a healthy spring walk while supporting two great community non-profits. See you at the park.

3. Drop by Pop & Gran's Antiques and More and pick up a Morenci Candle for to remember her special day by.

Is Mom the practical type? Then set her up for a teeth cleaning down at Dr. Grier's - pre-paid by you! Or stop by Eagle Auto and get her some motor oil and a new air filter - how about that?

Questions and answers:

1. Will there be police controlling intersections; holding vehicle traffic while the cyclists go through? Yes.

2. Are there restops? If so, how far apart are they? Yes - they are approximately 8 to 10 miles apart.

3. Is there SAG support; are there people designated to patrol the routes to help stranded cyclists? Yes.

4. What address can I use to Google a map to the starting point? The starting point is located at the Pavilion in the Grandview City Park which is located next to the Grandview Schools. Use the school address: 601 S. 5th Street Grandview, TX 76050.
